The Research Center on International and European Organizations analyzes the role of international and European organizations in managing crises and in the development of international law, taking up and building on the numerous activities carried out over the years by the Osservatorio sulle istituzioni dell'Unione europea (Oversight Body for the Institutions of the European Union) established by the (then) Department of Political Science.
To that end, the Center’s objective is to:
- Conduct research with international partners on topics of shared interest;
- Apply to international organizations or bodies as partners in these initiatives and develop, possibly in conjunction with other partners, joint projects such as conferences, seminars and research projects;
- Create a permanent oversight body on the activities of international and European organizations in individual, dedicated sections, involving other universities and their professors in this initiative;
- Provide the most deserving students with experiences abroad, principally with international organizations, to help them draft their final master’s thesis on an international topic.
