Beginning of academic activities (a.y. 2021/2022)

Classes start for the a.y. 2021/2022:

We kindly inform students that:

Classes will commence on Monday 13 September 2021.Only first year Master’s Degrees classes will commence on Monday 20 September 2021.

The class timetable is published on the website https://www.luiss.it/orario.

OFA Test (mandatory for students enrolled in their first year of the bachelors degree programs and single-cycle master's degree program)

According to Ministerial Legislation all students enrolled in their first year of the bachelors degree courses, Masters degree courses, and single-cycle master's degree program must posses some basic knowledge related to the course they are enrolled in.

From Monday 30 August to Wednesday 3 September, all three-year and single-cycle freshmen are invited to take the verification tests of additional training obligations, called OFA (“Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi”).

The test will be carried out exclusively online.

The topics on which the test will focus are indicated in the syllabuses available on the website of your department:

Self-evaluation test (not-mandatory, only for students enrolled in the first year of the master’s degree programs)

The legislation does not provide for the attribution of OFA to Master's students.

Under the Luiss Learn section on the website, dedicated to the Freshers' Weeks activities of your study course, you can take the basic knowledge self-assessment test to highlight any gaps relating to your field of study. The test includes closed-ended questions and the result will not give rise to any penalty.

Under the Luiss Learn section on the website, dedicated to the Freshers' Weeks activities of the study course, you can find the additional learning materials to prepare you for the Master’s Program and the self-assessment test. These resources are available asynchronously.

Freshers’ weekend (Bachelor's and Single-Cycle Degree students)

Freshers’ Weekend is the weekend dedicated to the first year students of the Bachelor’s and Single Cycle Degree courses, which will help you to discover all the opportunities offered by the world of Luiss and get to know the University and its services.

The Freshers’ Weekend takes place on September 9, 10 and 11. The activities on September 9, anticipated to September 8 for Politics: Philosophy and Economics students, will be held completely online. On September 10 and 11 activities will be arranged in presence. Students will also have always the option to participate remotely.

Freshers’ week (Master's Degree students)

Freshers’ Weeks are the weeks dedicated to welcoming Master’s degree students; are part of the study plan and will involve accumulation of CFUs.

Freshers' Weeks will be held from Monday 6 to Thursday 16 September entirely online.

All online activities are mandatory.

On Friday 17 and Saturday 18 September will take place the Freshers’ Weekend for Master students and there will be on campus activities. Activities are optional and it will be necessary to sign up. The procedure and deadlines regarding bookings will be communicated via email and will be available on the website dedicated to Freshers’ Weeks from the end of August.

Welcome Ceremony

The Welcome Ceremony will be held on September 13, 2021, a moment in which the entire community will gather to welcome you to Luiss with the presence of the University Management.

The Programme and details of the event will be available on the Luiss website and send by e-mail to the students from the end of August.
