Final Thesis
The final exam for the bachelor’s degree program consists in a evaluation of a dissertation written in Italian or English, depending on the degree program. The dissertation may be on a topic pertaining to a subject that the student has passed an exam on. It should be noted that bachelor's degree students no have to defend their final paper.

It equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical competence necessary to produce formal writing that is clear and well-organized, concise, as well as grammatically and orthographically accurate. This competence is developed by engaging in activities which enable students to produce the kind of writing which is indispensable for the final research paper. |
Students must attend regularly (at least 70% of the total contact hours) and produce the required number of written assignments. The workshop teacher can evaluate students' participation in a variety of ways including exercises, written work, class participation, a test or final in-class writing. |
Laboratory of data analysis for economics and political sciences (6 CFU sui 10 CFU previsti per le "Altre conoscenze utili per l'inserimento nel mondo del lavoro") | Compulsory annual course for all students enrolled in the second year of the bachelor's degree program | Competences in data collecting and processing represent a vital toolkit that is an integral part of a full professional profile. Therefore it is suitable for both public administration and corporations which now, more than ever, need to make decisions based on objective, relevant and timely data in order to be competitive and efficient. Students attending the laboratory will learn how to gather data of interest in terms of both the topic – political, economic or social – and territorial planning – national or international. In addition, they will be able to process them and use the findings. |
Students must attend at least 70% of classes and produce a brief report on data analysis, suggested by the instructor or by the students themselves. |
Lab of computer skills (2 CFU) | Compulsory course for all students enrolled in the first year of the bachelor's degree program. First semester - First year | The course provides the basics of the working principles of modern digital technologies. Objectives of the class: understanding the concepts of data, information and coding; understanding the combination of hardware and software components, that makes up modern digital devices especially those used in business; understanding the main aspects of modern communication networks, the architecture of the web, and the features of the cloud computing; understanding the concept of software application as solution of specific problems; understanding the concepts of algorithm and computer program; understanding the basic concept of database and the potential of BigData analysis as a tool for decision support; understanding information security key concepts; being aware of the perils arising from the use of malicious software and the exposure of corporate and/or personal sensitive information. In order to take the final exam and receive credits, students must have completed the following New ECDL modules: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation. |
The competences are assessed either via oral or written (on the basis on the number of students) format. |
