Study plan compilation guide

The Teaching Systems of the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses are divided into compulsory and elective courses the student will have to choose (electives are necessary for the acquisition of credits useful for obtaining the final degree)

General rules:

The choice is made through the online compilation of the study plan (through  the Web Self Service), in specific periods and according to the methods that are defined and communicated through Luiss channels each year.

It is necessary to complete the study plan within the dates established and communicated by the Student Office. You can access your Web Self Service and change the plan several times within the expected time window.

Please confirm the study plan.

Students who do not make the choices within the deadlines, will be given a standard study plan that cannot be modified.

You are invited to make the choices considering the following indications.

November of each year

  1. Students enrolled in the 1st year of the Bachelor's Degree course must make choose the second compulsory language (8 ECTS)
  2. Students enrolled in the 1st year of master's degree courses must choose:
  • Major (where applicable)
  • the second compulsory language (where provided)
  • activities for the achievement of ECTS for "other activities" (to be acquired through languages/internships/seminars/workshops, etc.)

June of each year

  1. Students enrolled in the 1st year of the Bachelor's Degree program must choose activities for the achievement of the 4 credits (languages/internship/seminars, etc.)
  2. Students enrolled in the 2nd year of the bachelor’s degree course must choose elective courses (12 ECTS)
  3. Students enrolled in the 1st year of the master’s degree program must choose elective courses (18 ECTS)
  4. Students enrolled in the 1st year of the master’s degree program must choose a Major (where possible)

Bachelor's Degree course in Political Science

Students enrolled in the first year 2020-2021 will have to choose one of the following options available for the achievement of 4 credits required in the study plan:

  1. Optional language course
  2. Soft Skills
  3. Team Manager AS Luiss
  4. Internship
  5. Other generic activity (cod. SJ1)

Students enrolled in the 2nd year 2021 - 2022 of the bachelor’s degree course must choose elective courses (12 Efu)

Master's Degree courses:

Students enrolled in the 1st year 2020-2021 of the Master's Degree in International Relations; Government, Administration and Policies; Policies and Governance in Europe must make the choice of elective courses (18 CFU) - 3 Elective courses

The possibility of choosing the Individual Study Plan is dependent on the participation in an international program and it is, in any case, dependent on the approval of the Director of the CdS.
